Trekking poles

I really wish that Easton didn't stop making trekking poles, those things were nice, right now I have 1 black diamond and 1 easton that I use, have always thought about getting a matching set but I just make due with what I got.

I have some cheapo aluminum poles that came with my cheapo snowshoes. They work great, so I'm not sure that I can recommend getting anything that costs over $50. I'm sure that the carbon ones or spring loaded ones are a little better, but I think you can get an "el cheapo" set for like $20. They are worth it though! Get a pair, no matter what brand you decide on.

Whatever you do, just consider the "collapsed" length....in regards to carrying it on your backpack. I tend to keep them on the backpack, unless I am hauling meat or it gets slippery. I have a pair of black diamond flick locks and love them.
