Hey Guys,
2018 could be the season of all seasons for me. I just got back from a dream New Zealand red stag hunt that I saved for 2 years to go on. Right before I left I learned I drew a NM bull tag and yesterday I drew a Maine unit 5 moose tag. I am on cloud 9.
I am going to use a CVA 45-70 with a Vortex scope for my moose hunt. I absolutely love this gun and have used it on black bear and deer. What ammo/grain would you guys recommend for the 45-70 on my moose hunt? I have been using the Winchester 300 grain Jacketed Hollow Points, but I want to make sure I have a super good high quality bullet for a fast ethical kill.
