Hey anyone fish the finger lakes? I’m going to working in Watkins Glenn NY for a few months not looking to poach your fishing hole but any suggestions or local tips would be greatly appreciated.

Been there. Was not fishing. There were several nice wineries. Good wine. Came home with several bottles.
There was a large lake in the are that had fishing boats all over it. Wish I remembered more. But the lake was focused on fishing. I do not think shore fishing was an option.
Was a very friendly area. Our next stop was NYC.
It was not one of the Finger Lakes. Local to Glen Watkins.

Should be able to find trout in the feeder creeks and the inlet for Seneca Lake, which runs right through Watkins Glen. NYS DEC has established access points to some of the streams in the area.
The lake itself holds just about every type of fish, but shore fishing would be difficult since there's few access points.

I hear Keuka and Cayuga Lake are better than Seneca Lake. I've had decent luck on Lamoka Lake
