Pseudo-wolf

I thought it was an April fools hoax when I first saw it in the Great Falls tribune. My guess is just a dog, I’m not sure why people think it might be a hybrid wolf.
 
A buddy and me ran across something just like that this past season, same coloration.. Too small to be a wolf but too big to be a coyote..spent almost a hour watching it chase rodents along the creek.. my buddy almost pulled the trigger twice but he was just too worried it would turn out to be someone’s dog..
 
Looks like one real inbred sum bitch, what the hell is a hybrid wolf anyways
 
Based on the incredibly crappy photo in the article, looks like some kind of shepherd cross to me. I don’t know why people automatically assume it has to be part wolf or coyote. Dogs get dumped all the time. Heck, you can go to any reservation and see herds of mutts roaming at large that look just like it.
