Good trip with a fun crew yesterday. Surprise of the day was a 10lb channel cat on a crappie jig. Caught on a 4'10" Ugly Stick with 4lb Cajun Red mono. The good crappie fishing continues. You have to cover some water to find them but if you stick with it you can put a good catch together.

Must have taken some time to reel in the cat on 4 lb test! Some nice looking crappie.

Those cats can be a lot of fun to catch on crappie gear. Has the water level been holding steady, or is it on the rise making it tough for the crappie to find a good location to spawn?

Rising a couple feet daily. They sure are having a hard time choosing a nesting area. Their eggs are getting pretty loose.

You sure post a lot of photos that make me want to come out there and hang out on your boat with you some day. Just too much fun going on there!
