My fiance and I currently camp in an rei halfdome 2, which is roughly 31sqft. We have managed this with two dogs inside as well, one being 55lbs, the other 20. While not overly comfortable, it was doable. I recently became interested in picking up a larger floorless shelter that would accommodate us and dogs more comfortably. I was back and forth alot between the Seek Outside Redcliff, Cimarron, and Silvertip. I finally decided on the silvertip, which is more than twice the size of our current set up, and lighter than the other options. My biggest concern was with this being a 2 man shelter, how we would truly fit and how much room we would have. It came in yesterday, and I set it up this morning with our sleeping pads inside. As you can see, it will be feasible for us to sleep side by side on one side of the tent. I'm also convinced that we could run a smaller stove, such as the cub, with the two of us as well. This shelter will be perfect for what we were looking for, and I hope the pictures help some as it's not something I could really find in my research. For whoever is wondering, my fiance is 5'4, and I am 5'9. Hope this helps!

I love my tipi for certain applications. I’m sure you’re aware but you won’t want any gear touching the walls as the condensation can be pretty bad, especially with two people and two dogs sleeping in there. It can be allievated with a liner, stove, or pitching it with a gap between the tent and the ground.

That will be our biggest issue with this tent for sure. It was an issue with our other as well though, and at least with the silvertip we will have more options to address it than we did with our traditional tent. We definitely could not fit a stove, gear, and dogs in there at once, but I feel it's possible with one or the other.

Looks like a great setup! I think I could like that a lot. Be interested in hearing your opinion about it after a couple of trips.
