Wyoming Unit 65 application

Just double checking myself here…

To shoot a Buck mule deer in unit 65, do I need to apply for region J as a first choice and nothing for a second choice… Correct? Unit 65 is still a whitetail only unit.
I’m reading this correct aren’t I??

You can shoot a 3 pt or better mule deer in 65 with a Region J tag, or you can shoot any whitetail deer with that tag.

The 65-3 tag is only for a whitetail deer.

I would apply for a tag with incredibly long odds as 1st choice, with Region J second choice. That way you can still get a point this year, and don't burn any you might already have.

Good advice from LCH, think about a better first choice to save and get another PP. Be prepared in case you draw that first choice though.

we have private access in unit 65 so I'll make region J my first choice and hope for the best
