I live in Pennsylvania and it is getting harder to find a place to hunt that's not overcrowded. Just to throw some numbers at you. There is 46055 sq miles in Pa of which 3.7 million acres is public. There are 926000 licensed hunters, that equates to 160 hunters per sq mile. Now I know some of these are hunting private property. I'm also starting to see more posted land and have even seen property being sold by a realtor that deals in hunting properties. In comparison Wyoming has 97914 sq miles roughly 50% of that is public. There was 215000 licenses sold last year, that would be about 4.4 hunters per sq mile. We as hunters and yes public land owners need to be diligent in contacting our representatives and let them know where we stand. Hopefully we will have these lands to enjoy for many generations so let's set a good foundation.
