Orcas and Open Country

Sounds like an awesome experience. Rivers that my dad grew up floating and myself to some extent, use to be accessed by bridge right of ways. Privately owned but the landowners didn't mind people accessing the river then. Thanks to a few bad apples trashing the place and illegal activities, most have closed off access. Now you're limited to knowing someone on an upstream and downside piece of land to float to and from. It would be great to see safe public access points.
