I just picked up a pound of RL-16 for the first time this weekend. I am looking to load 7-08 in a 150 gr partition and 30-06 in 180gr ab, does anyone have any advice on RL-16 pet loads and starting powder charges to work up loads from for accuracy testing?

I can't help you with the 150s, cause 140s are the heaviest I'll go in my 7-08. Around 2770fps has been my average over several firings from virgin Lapua brass with 140 grain Accubonds. The Partitions should be faster. Big Game gave me mid 2800s with 140 grain Partitions, so I'm done messing with it.

RL16 and the Accubonds made for a compressed load(more than I like) at a COAL of 2.80".

I've only got loads for 120 and 140 grain loads in the 7-08.

These velocities are out of a Remington Model Seven with a 20" barrel.

Use the RL16 for your 06'.
RL19 for 150gr bullets out of your 7mm-08.

If you really want to use RL16 with the 08' then use 120-130 gr bullets. Alliant was wildly optimistic with their data for RL16 in the 08'.
