Thanks. This will be with Larry's youngest brother, my college roommate and companion on my Mexico jail break, Jimmer. He lives in AK and has never hunted elk, so it should be an experience. Might even do a podcast to tell the entire Mexico jail story, once and for all.

Beginners luck here, for some reason they gave me a 16D second rifle tag. Got lucky on the tag, now the real work begins. Never been to New Mexico let alone 16D ha!

Congrats to all that drew. Miss my fav elk unit. Last time was 2011. Body likely won't even get up there anymore.

Have you hunted in this unit? If so would you hunt up in the north in the mountain area or look in the southern end?
