Hello everyone. Whitetail hunter from Iowa here. Elk hunt is on my list. Hoping to learn a few things. Thanks ahead of time.

Welcome neighbor! I was in your shoes about 5 years ago. I learned a TON from these guys. Search back in the forums and read everything you can and start a note pad for thoughts on states to hunt, units, terrain, gear, and other helpful tips that you run across. I am still learning more each year but shoot me a PM if have any specific questions that I can maybe help with. Enjoy the ride, its addicting!
