I know that there is a discussion already happening on another thread about this issue but I wanted to make sure folks had a chance to listen to this speech given by Nick Freitas who is running for a U.S. Senate seat. It is well worth the few minutes it takes to listen to this.

I watched Nick's speech on-line and I liked a lot of what he said. I did not like that he brought up what the Democrats did a century ago. At that point he basically fell into the mud pit that the Democrat's were slinging from instead of maintaining the high ground. The Democrats are no more like their long-past predecessors than he is like the Nazis. But, in general I am glad he had the courage to express what a lot of us are feeling.

Sorry - that is BS. Gun crimes are roughly half of what they were 25 years ago. School shootings are down. What is up is where an assailant shoots 10, 20 or 100 innocent people in a few minutes, which is such a horrific crime it brings the U.S. to a halt. Here are two stories (I use these sources since the liberal press allegedly wants to take your guns away, but they provide evidence to the contrary.)

Sorry again - I only listened to the first 45 seconds when he said all these shootings occur in gun free zones. That's BS too. Armed people were present at several shootings, including Parkland, not to mention the issues created when citizens try to stop a deadly shooting. It is especially noteworthy that armed citizens aren't allowed in the hall where he is spewing this nonsense. These are just observations that the average Joe would make, and that average Joe is the one who will be writing the gun laws. If the proponents keep relying on these alternative facts we are going to see a lot more restrictions, many of them plain stupid.

How stupid can you be a gun free zone does not include police officers. Can you tell who was armed at Parkland other than the coward deputy.
