I have heard the story behind how DU screwed over Don Thomas (Great author, was my favorite column in the DU mag and his books are top notch) which was crap, no argument from me here. However I do have a couple nagging questions. 1. What was the end result of the stream access in that specific case? 2. Has DU changed there ways since then? 3. If not, what are some other examples were they committed more anti public lands actions?

This is where I get conflicted because I do a lot of public land duck hunting on Waterfowl production areas and I know DU has some hand in that. I have witnessed and frankly taken advantage of projects they have done with improvements to land restoration and conservation. In short I like the majority of things they do. I guess what I'm looking for is a trend in their behavior, is the Don Thomas thing an outlier or is it one of many anti public land events.
