What's your guy's input on hunting the previous years burns? We have had great snow and hopefully we get some nice spring rains. Last year when I hunted the burns they were flat torched some sign of greens but not great. Any input?

The first year after a burn may not produce a ton of green vegetation but years 2 and 3 should explode. I say if you have a spot that feels "elky" then you better get there and do some pre-season scouting.

I predict I'm going to shoot a nice bull with my bow in one of last year's burns. I have the saddle I'm going to shoot him in picked out already. The pack out is gonna be a bit steep, but I'll manage.
