    Default Archery CO GMU 42

Anyone ever archery hunt GMU 42 on Battlement Mesa? I am thinking about packing in for a couple long weekends during the archery season. Is there much for hunting pressure? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

People be everywhere... down low, up high, far away, close to the road ... rather disappointing

Yes, that close to Junction you'll have company, especially on the weekends.

Prepare for UFC style encounters as Jay Scott would say

Other than a lot of people ( which I expected with an OTC tag) have you guys hunted BM? I am going to try it but wondering what the best access point? The Silt to Collbran Road or hike in from a lower elevation through BLM?

Mind if ask if you were on the East or West end? Since the Unit stretches from Glenwood to De Beque. Much Appreciated.
