Getting ready for our spring turkey season and both of my trail cameras are dead. What cameras have yall had good luck with? I am leaning to a cellular one by Spypoint, but dont know if it is worth the money?

If I was going to pick up a cellular one I'd buy USA, they are expensive but great quality. I personally like to get the non-cellular cameras, doesn't take to much effort for me to retrieve SD cards once every 1-2 months, plus I can run more cameras for the price of one cellular camera. I currently have both Bushnell and Cuddeback. I get the best night pictures from Bushnell but I get the best day light and centered pictures from my Cuddebacks. I know a guy with a cellular spypoint, he has had no issues with his camera.

I've got Reconyx, Covert(regular and cellular), and Browning. I check cameras at least every 3rd day during deer season. The cellular cameras are placed in areas that are hard to get to, to cut down on traffic. I love them for deer and turkey hunting. The Coverts and the Brownings don't have near the trigger as the Reconyx, but the Brownings are close. I've been running the same Reconyx cameras(2 of them) for over 10 years. I've only had the Covert cellular cameras for a couple of years and one season on the Brownings.

I'm currently using Moultrie and Stealth Cam. I'm not brand loyal on cams but just look for a good deal when I need a new one. Others may disagree, but while there are certain things hunters should never try to pinch pennies on (like optics), I think most trail cameras are very close to the same quality within reason. I personally just use mine to inventory the deer in my primary, so I don't typically use video, and anything in the 10-12mp range I'm happy with, anything excess being overkill in my opinion.

I've looked into cellular but most of my camera spots are pretty local. If I had to drive over an hour away to check my cameras I would consider a cell cam, but if I'm simply wanting to minimize human presence in the area, I just force myself to check the camera less often, as difficult as that may be.

I went through 5 different cheap cameras before finding some used Reconyx cameras for sale. That was 6 years ago and they are still going strong. Their tagline of "see what you've been missing" is 100% accurate. I tested some of my old cameras (moultrie, stealth, scout, Uway, etc.) against the Reconyx and it wasn't a contest. Not sure why but the other cameras were just flat missing a significant amount of animals.

They aren't cheap, and I'm not sure if I would have ever bought them if it wasn't for finding them used, but I disagree about trail cameras being very close to the same quality. Plus they are very good on batteries and will go for months on one set (of course they use 12 AA batteries).

I have 2 Spypoints that are a few years old and I find the trigger speed a bit slow. If I were to buy new ones I would go with the Brownings.

2017 Browning Strike Force HD Pro. I have some of the previous versions and the new ones get great reviews. I've had bad luck with Wild Game Innovations and Stealth Cam but my Browning's are still going strong. I however don't like the black flash versions, infrared flash is the way to go. Reconyx are hands down the best cameras out there but they are 4-5 times more expensive.

The way trail cameras are today, if you can afford reconyx get them. Far and away the best. If you can't afford reconyx, go with Brownings. Everything else is junk.

I just bought a browning “strike force pro HD” just put it out two days ago and can’t wait to see how it works!!

Damn, I just got two Bushnell E3's in the mail. I might as well toss them in the trash right now. If only I had seen this earlier I could have saved myself the agony.:W:

Bushnell Blackout HD. Incredible battery life. I am averages 3000 pics/or a 14 months of heat and cold with Lithium batteries. Takes 16 bateeries

If anyone is in the market for a cellular cam, I have a new in the box StealthCam GXW Wirelss. No service where I run cams so it is yours for $175 (sell for about $275) I also have a couple of cheaper cams and some card readers new in the box too... could make someone a heck of a deal.

I did hang 13 cams this morning, so hope to have some new pics and videos to share soon. Here are a couple of my favorites from last year. I REALLY like the video mode. Makes checking cams much more fun.

You should check these brands for cellular camera: SPYPOINT, Spartan, Snyper, Covert. Don't forget to check data package price and cellular carriers in your hunting area.

Checkout browning trail cameras; they are very simple to use, fairly reasonable, and have great images. I've used cuddeback and primos, they didn't have very good quality and they were very poor at night time.

As I said earlier, Bushnell HD because of battery life. I just went up and checked my cameras. Took all new batteries because I figured they'd be dead. Total of 2156 pics, and over a year oldOne camera going on two years. All batteries still good. I use lithium Energizer. These are a few of the latest pics.

Doesn't seem up loader is working.

I run the Furbo. Real time images to your phone, alerts, and you can shoot a treat at and talk to the critter.
