Decided I should finally introduce myself.
I've been an avid whitetail, mule deer, varmint, quail hunter and bass fisherman for better than forty years. I shot my first whitetail and bobwhite not long after my seventh birthday and every since then I haven't stopped trying to find a way to hunt more often.
After having to pay guides and land owners to hunt most of the western species, I had a friend invite my on my first public land hunt a few years ago. Since that first public land hunt in Co. I've been hooked. I decided I was done paying big money just to get in the woods.
I'm hoping to learn more about public hunting access and maybe I might be able to help a few people out in the process. I'm a middle of the road bow mechanic and tournament archer, slightly above average bow hunter and am fairly decent with a rifle.
I'm going to go ahead and apologize now for any stupid questions I know I will end up asking. When I do, have a little patience and try to point me in the right direction.
