Weatherby Mark V CarbonMark

Saw something on the net that Weatherby is offering a carbon fiber barrel rifle called the Mark V CarbonMark. It might be old news, but I recently saw an article about it, MSRP $4000 Anyone know more about it, or seen one?

Thanks nhy, that's where I saw it. I wonder if these will be a viable option for shooters/hunters looking for a rifle of that sort, or if they will wait until Weatherby works the bugs out. At $4000, I don't know if anyone will "jump on it", there has to be a better option with other rifle makers having perfected theirs (to some degree). I have read some good things about Proof Research rifles, so maybe their input will make it work. I have always liked Weatherby rifles, and presently have a .340 FiberMark. I don't think I will be in the market for a CarbonMark anytime soon. Maybe later ?

Yea, I don't really see the relative value in that MSRP either. Sort of a Mr Gadget marketing departure for Wby IMO.
