Public land staked off?

I believe you have to put $100/yr into maintaining your claim to keep it active.
Which in 1872 meant something. Today that’s a tank of gas and a new shovel.
A few of us could get together and make a 10,000 acre Hunt Talk hunting preserve.

Can this be true? I watch 4-5 different news channels most days. First i seen this. The Young Turks are not my favorite but on Public Land, they side with my side.

All is well. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/bears-ears-gets-no-mining-applications/article/2648556

My opinion but a webcast with PO Box on Wilshire Blvd in LA isn't the best source for objective view on conservation. Preservation yes, conservation no.

Thanks Guys! TYTurks are "different", yet i agree with them from time to time on some, certainly not most, issues. Because i have been kicked off and locked out of hunting and fishing on "claimed" but otherwise Public Land, i posted the OP in hopes that this would not be a big deal. If i were a young man, with the body i used to have, i'd have my own dirt cheap 20 acres of God's Country like some of my acquaintances do. A few hundred dollars a year to acquire and hold is little even to a guy like myself who is not that well retired.

Would this be good for access to the general outdoorsman out there if hundreds were to do the same? I don't believe so. Thanks for the feedback.
