On several occasions the effects of fire on the landscape as well as wildfire suppression have been brought up. I was thinking that an episode discussing the historical firefighting policy right up to current day would be interesting. I don't know who the best guest would be for this, but perhaps someone from USFS? One reason I bring this up is because I was under the impression that there had been pretty drastic changes to wildfire policy since '88. Based on what had been stated on the podcast I'm less sure of that. Would others find this interesting, or is it just something that I have on my mind being a firefighter myself?

I've been following this topic since childhood. And always look at many places for info.
A retired FS person would be good. Not afraid of retro. Been there done that. Seperated the huggers from clearcutters @ meetings & sat down and ate with them later to talk.
