After getting all of the things I need or don’t need....tumbler, press, dyes, media, chargemaster, primer thingy, calipers, , lube, and hours bugging my friends who reload......I’ve finally got my first final round from once fired to ready to fire.

I was so excited I made three and went and shot them out of my 22-250 and they grouped just as good as when I beg my friends to reload for me.

It’s way more rewarding than I thought. Can’t wait to keep going. I’ve got about 759 rounds of 22-250, 6.5 MtMuley, 7-08, and 7mm rem Mag primed and ready to go!!!!

Those of you in the fence with jumping into handloading.......do it. Don’t cut corners. But do it. I hope to never buy a box of ammo otc ever again!!!

Haha. It's fun. Stockpiling reloads is kinda like canning your own food. Fun to just look at it on the shelf when you are done ;)

Looks like a winner. Your winter free time just disappeared. I suggest you let the loved ones know that everything is OK and that you will see them in April.

The heck is a 6.5 Mtmuley??? Lol. Nothing better than harvesting an animal with a cartridge you built. Adds another level to the experience.

I got my press installed and a little over $200 worth of other crap ready to go. I ran some spent .308 brass through a resizing die, but that's as far as I've gotten. I feel like I have a lot of theoretical knowledge, but when I'm sitting there looking at it all, I must admit to myself that I have no idea what I'm doing. I think this going to take a lot of trial and error.

Congrats! It's surely an addiction! What you loading in the 6.5 mtmuley aka 6.5creedmore?

The creedmoor gets 41 grains of h4350 and a 143 grain ELDX

That setup killed a Bighorn ram at 450 yards and three muley bucks at 140, 345, and 175. People can diss the creedmoor all they want. I did. Until I shot one. Now I have three.

The 22-250 pictured gets 38 grains of h380 and a 55 grain Vmax

Brian. I was there in November. My two buddies who reload have now stopped answering when I face time them. : )

Best way to get started is to have an experienced reloader sit down with you at your bench and go through each phase together. That way things can proceed along safely and they can offer tips to put out a better product. Much easier than reading your way through the process.

Stubaby, is that all from one year? One year or multiple, very nice, congrats.
Brian, Sawtooth has great advice, if you can get someone who's reloading already to run through a session with you it would be very beneficial. It can be a little daunting at first, but it certainly has its own satisfaction

I'm in the same boat! Just got my press and everything all set up and am waiting on my dies. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve!
