My binoculars are an older pair of Brunton Eterna 10x42, which does not have a threaded hole for use with a tripod mount. I have no doubt I have missed seeing animals because of shakiness or muscle fatigue. I have tried resting the binoculars on rocks, trees, and trekking poles. Those help, but still aren't as solid as I would like.

Upgrading my binos isn't an option at this time, so I'm hoping some of you could share which tripod mounts you use that don't rely on threading a bolt into the binocular frame.

Leica and Swarovski (I’m sure others as well) both make a universal tripod mount with a rubber band that secures your binos to a tripod head. Should fit pretty much anything out there.

I haven’t used either of these (all the binos I’ve owned have had threaded holes) but would bet that they would do well for you. If you do eventually get new binos with a threaded hole, check out The Outdoorsmans bino adapter. It’s very light, strong, and incredibly easy to use.

If you do eventually go with a threaded model the outdoorsman bio mount is the most stable and simple to use IMO.
