Nice cat! Dad rugged a few large ones. He used to play the futures on them when he trapped. Always had furs in the freezer hoping prices would bump.

For a while here bobcats were going for around $400. That's a heck of a bobcat, though...definitely a keeper

Congrats to Jr. on a really nice bobcat, great coloration too. My son got one in Texas a few years back, I've gotten used to having it at my house, kind of hoping he and his wife don't have a place big enough for awhile still.

Texas is a pretty big state so the prices are going to vary. If you get up north in the panhandle you can get decent money for them. Where I'm at in the base of the panhandle you might get $100 for a nicely furred cat in its prime. Down south of I-20 I'm not sure what you could get for one.
Sad to say but a lot of bobcats, coyotes and even fox are just shot for predator control and left laying.

140 Accubond...Sako 85 Finnliite 270 WSM, 3x9x40 Zeiss Conquest....too much bullet for a Bob but just right for this big pig my daughter in law Lindsi took this afternoon at 130 yards;
