Well, I did my first rifle hunt for deer.in Colorado. Had 4th season tag in unit 15. Did not fill my tag but had a lot of fun. Think I could get into this kind of deer hunt. I archery hunt elk every year but never deer.
Saw a really nice 4x4 on Saturday but decided not to shoot. Was holding out for a possible 180 plus but didn't happen. Saw pics of a 200" shot 3rd season where I was hunting. Rented a cabin by some California guys. Nice guys and good deer hunters. Invited me over for supper every night!
Took my 14 points to get the tag, and at my age that aint gonna happen again!! Guess I'll begin to strategize how to get a tag next year.
