Had a great hunt last week with some fresh tracking snow. This bull announced himself with several bugles. Very strange behavior for the second week of November. He is also unusual in that his left brow-tine is 19”.

A wise old elk hunter once told me that it took him on average about 50 miles of hiking per bull elk he killed each season. This one took about twice that for me. Good luck if you are still trying to fill a tag, and keep after it.

That's a cool looking bull, congrats! I was deer hunting in November a few years ago and had 4 different bulls bugling back and forth. Kind of neat to hear in the deer woods.

Nice bull, wow the brows!
I second the theory of miles per bull, I can relate to that this season also you are not alone.
