I bought a pair of wooltimate pants with windshear lining from Cabalas. So far they seem good and have enough pockets. I wore Kenetrek gaiters and my legs and boots stayed dry. They pants are pricey $139.00 but I think they will work for my needs. I wore out a pair of Malones but it took many years to do it. I also wear a pair of Cadet wool pants that I have had for years. They are a lighter weight pant and that's why I bought the wooltimates.

Yep, wool is the best cold weather stuff you can use. I also pick up wool sweaters from the second hand store too. Unbeatable in my eyes

Check out Johnson Woolen Mills in Vermont.
Just finished hand washing elk and deer blood out of my pair. Ready for next year. Think I have had this pair for fifteen years,anyway.they run slim.
