Whats your favorite lunch.

A MRE will fill the bill. Combine it with a water activated heat pack and you have a nice warm energy boost. If that doesn't fill your requirements then the Summer Sausage, hard cheese, Fig & Honey Triscuits & some nut based trail mix is handy, just not hot. Pack a few heat tabs, boil some water for coffee/kool-aid/ Tang/tea and it will feel like you had a Hot meal.

If you latch onto a Cold Weather Ration, grab and RUN....!!!
 
Trail mix that's heavy on the seeds, Elevateme bars, dehydrated salmon, sometimes salami and cheese. Apple, carrots, bananas, fruit depending on length of trip. I usually bring my alcohol stove to make coffee, tea or some kind of wild forged tea like rosehip/Labrador tea/chaga/pine needle.
