Had a good cold morning; for south Texas, driving up to the ranch deer everywhere, already starting to push some does; a bit early for here, walking to my tripod saw more, before daylight feeder went off; I know it makes it easier than normal but in my opinion not much different than sitting on any food source n I get the opportunity to really age n select what deer I take off the place, nothing shows!!! Had n idea what was happening, n here they came. Picked a nice young boar out n let the arrow loose, put it just behind the ear; not a normal lung/heart shot but definitely does the trick n at 20yds I’m perfectly confident w it, dropped him, had him hung/skinned/gutted/cut up/chilling out all w/in a couple hours. Son n grandson showed up n threw some on the pit!! No deer today but in my book a damn good day!!!!
