Is anyone using a shooting yoke adapter for a tripod for shooting long distance? I'm always packing a tripod for my compact spotting scope. I'm thinking I just need a yoke adapter for my tripod and that would be the way to go. There are a couple of inexpensive ones on Amazon, but I am not sure I want one that pivots.

I like the bog pods and use the yoke for it and the pan head for spotter. I have taken a 427 yard shot and dropped the deer off a bog bipod. I am older now and probably would not take that shot again. I also took about 10 min to settle down and get solid for the shot. Just practice with it and see how far you can shoot consistently. Sounds like a good excuse for some range time.
