How far west into southeastern montana before the mule deer ratio is substantially higher?

This...personally I prefer the mule deer hunting of eastern MT

this goes for anywhere in eastern Montana in my opinion, if you cant find a mule deer, you got bigger problems.......... Finding a mule deer buck if not picky on size is easy ....

It’s less a matter of east/west than hunting the right habitat. If you hunt the right type of country you should find them anywhere between the eastern and western borders. By the time you get to SE Montana, you’re already west of some fine mule deer country.
