...which is weird since I grew up hunting here in MT. Possibly because as a kid it seemed like mule deer numbers were low in our units. Either way, in the past couple of years I have really wanted to start targeting them. This was in ID on opening day. Ten minutes into the season he was the biggest of a bachelor group and my 300WM with a 180g Accubond at 186 yards put him down with one shot. We were a mile from the truck. He may not be big, but he was big bodied. I'll be looking to fill my MT tag in a couple of weeks.20171010_074839.jpg
 
Congratulations that's a nice buck. He is bigger than my first mule deer I got this fall, good eating too.
 
Very nice. Will be hunting deer in Wyoming soon. Hoping to shoot my first Mulie also......I'd settle for a nice Whitetail too. Congrats!
