Beautiful fish! One of my most memorable days of fishing was throwing streamers for browns in late October on the North Platte south of Saratoga.

JLS, I can see how that would be a day to remember. I killed a nice brown colored black bear down dear Saratoga 5 or 6 years ago. I could learn to really like it down there without much effort.

JLS, you didn't happen to eat at that little restaurant that sits nearly over the river in Saratoga did you? If not, it needs to be on your to-do list the next time you are there. One, the food is good, but the atmosphere really makes the place. While we were there we got the table that hung out over the bank. As were were eating we had a herd of mule deer walked right underneath us. There were actually a couple of bucks and a half a dozen does and fawns. Plus we watched fisherman float by, and even saw them land fish once in a while. It was a very cool dining experience for a guy like me. I believe the name of that little restaurant is Hugus.

The restaurant is named JW Hugus. Right on the north end of Saratoga just south of the River.
