Well, I'm older than dirt with worn out knees but I still love to wander and hunt the wild places.
I've been blessed far beyond reason to have lived in The Last Best Place for most of my life.
So here I am scouting the cyber trail to see where it might lead.

Welcome. I believe your picture is of Index Peak which is actually in Wyoming, just south of Cooke City, MT. Did I win? There’s plenty of Montana admirers on here (me included). Looking forward to hearing your tales.

Good morning to all. Thanks for the welcome.
Yes this is sunset behind Pilot Peak just on the Wyoming line next to Cooke City. The picture is usually paired with Index Peak just to the right of the frame. About 95% of Index is also in Wyoming. Together these landmarks overlook the headwaters of the Clark's Fork of the Yellowstone drainage..............grizz country, and getting more so each year.
