Beautiful birds. I shot a woodie a couple years back that was banded in MD. Thought that was strange. Don't remember how old it was, 8 I think?

It's always good to see kids out enjoying the outdoors!
 
Congrats to your boy! Those drakes are a beautiful bird. We are fortunate here in Iowa as we have plenty of woodies and when I get a drake I am always amazed at how beautiful they are.
 
Congrats to your son! My old man would have been jealous. He always talked about someday getting a drake woody. He never did. I hope he's knock'n em down in the great spirit hunting grounds. RIP pop.
 
Congrats to you and your son! It's almost sad to clean such a pretty bird, but when it comes to eating ducks they are at the top of the list. Good luck on the rest of the season.
