A buddy and I are wanting to make the journey from Kansas to Idaho to Black bear hunt this spring. Looking for some advice. I have read a bunch on here and online. Lots of info and it can get overwhelming.
From what I have read we need to be hunting midle of may and at lower elevations. I've read alot on different units. What's the best units to hunt? Do most people just pull off off the logging roads and make camp there or is it best to hike in and make camp off the beaten path?
We both will be using rifles and at this time we both plan on using lever action .45-70s.
Any help would be great. Thanks
