Looking for a saw to take elk antlers off with. Broke a couple blades on a hack saw last year.
Ended up using flat side of an ax on a hatchet to finish. What do you guys use if you are just taking the
antlers with you a long way from the trail head>
thanks

I usually just take the skull and cut off the skull plate with my sawzall at home. The trip out with the head is normally one of my lighter loads so a little extra weight isnt a bother.

I usually take out the whole head, but a Wyoming Saw would be my choice if you wanted to skull cap in the field.
