Is 23 inches adequate for shooting from a sitting position. I've used a short one quit a bit for prone and bench shooting, but I'd like to get one that will adjust long enough to shoot sitting.
 
That is the height I use when hunting deer or antelope. I can usually make that work in most grass or sage, from the sitting position.
 
We run harris bi pods 13 and a half inch to 27 inch

I agree on this one. I am 6'2" and the 27 inch works better for me. One advantage is, if you are sitting and the ground in front of you is "lower" in elevation the longer bipod works better. Hope that makes sense.
