Hey guys. I've been hunting the rugged South Lake Tahoe, CA region to no avail this archery season. Anybody out there hunt this zone (D-5 in particular)? Any success? Any advice? Thanks. Your input is always greatly appreciated!
I spent a few days in Desolation last week hiking and fishing but saw no deer and very little sign, none above 7,500 ft. Lots of trucks parked along the road when I came out Saturday. This heat is a deal killer for me, you have 2 more months to get it done, patience is a virtue.
Some in laws live up there where the angora fire went thru. Lotta deer in that area seems like. If you don't mind seeing cars and homes in the background you should prolly get it done over there. I don't have a 3-5 tag this year but saw an ear width 4x3 in the area
