It was amazing to me also!!! When I was in the Corps I was stationed in Yuma from '93 to '97. I was able to hunt ducks (tons of variety) n geese along the Colorado River just outside city limits, unreal dove n quail hunting in the fields surrounding Yuma, bowhunt (never got drawn for rifle) desert mulies in the Kofa Mtns, north of Yuma, n watch desert bighorn. Plenty of coyotes n rabbits to boot. Not to mention all the quality fishing rt by there; largemouth, smallmouth, bream, catfish, n stripers. It was all surreal to me, this being in the hot desert!! To top it all off I got drawn for rifle deer near Nogales n shot a 100+" Coues spot n stalk n also a doe Coues w a bow spot n stalk the following year.
