My buddy and I went out scouting this past weekend in two different areas where we normally see a few hundred antelope... between the two of us, we saw less than 40. Did the harsh winter take a toll on them? How is everyone else doing on their scouting?

Eastern Side of the state seems to be on par with average.

lots and lots of water this year = the antelope are a lot more spread out this year, happens every year we get some snow or rain to fill all the water holes up.

Opening day of archery antelope season yesterday. Hunted the Little Wood River Valley in unit 49. A group of 7 in the wheat fields that usually number 30 - 50 is all I saw. 0 deer seen - and no sign in the field.

It looks like the lope numbers are down in SE Idaho, although during the later winter months I saw quite a few large herds. The past few weeks, not as many. Not sure if better feed is up in the foothills or if they had a winter die off. Just my observation driving highways and not scouting.
