Spotting scope camera mountan

Anyone try one of the genric or cheaper spotting scope phone mounts of eBay or similar instead of spending like $90.00 for the leupold version.
 
I couldn't find one to fit the phone I have.
Made one from some scrapp Walnut and used a short peice of a pvc coupler , epoxied to the wooden phone holder.

Has to be fitted to keep the eye of the camera lens close to the eye peice lens of the spotter.
Lots of other things could be used also.

I have seen some for sale at around $50 , but they were for I - phones .
I have a Kyocera DuraForce. Not much out there for mine.
 
I have a phonescope and like it... I can understand it's hard to swallow spending the money on a little plastic but the scope piece is good for as long as you use that scope and if you upgrade your phone it's online $40 for the new case.
