There is an interesting op-ed in The Hill today written by Ashley Korenblat CEO of cycling tour company Western Spirit Cycling and managing director of Public Land Solutions a recreation planning advocacy group.

In the editorial, she stresses the important economic benefits that the recreational community and recreational companies provide by using Public Land for recreation, rather than by Oil, Gas or Mining use.

It is my belief that wilderness hunters must form alliances with the other recreational land users. Hunters, fishermen/women, mountain bikers, bird watchers, hikers, backpackers, environmentalists, conservationists, students, photographers, rock hounds, recreational gold prospectors, climbers, horse riders, pack companies, skiers, kayakers, historians, Native Americans tribes, all should and can work together to protect OUR Public Lands.

Call your Congressional representative today at 202-224-3121 and give money to those organizations that are proponents of our Public Lands.

Cheers,

Mark
