Best time to buy map chip?

I know OnX is a sponsor here, and I recall seeing promotions in the past, so I am wondering when the best time would be to buy a GPS map chip for the 2017 season in the state of Montana. Planning to keep it for multiple years.
 
Do yourself a favor and look at Kirsch's Outdoor Products for a TRAX GPS chips. You will be much happier!
 
They usually say on their website when they are doing a update . I need to update mine and will try and call them to see if they did montana yet this year and post back.
