I highly recommend biting the bullet and getting some good gaiters. My feet stay dry all dry wading through water and muck and wet grass with Kenetrek gaiters and Meindl's... Gaiters rock.

Well they showed up today. Really surprised on how light they were. Won't get to mess with them until I officially get them from my kids for Father's Day.
