rings and bases

in mounting a scope should I use locktite on the rings and base or not?
I am shooting a 300 WM and any assistance would be very much appreciated.

I lap rings, use blue locktite, and torque everything to 20 in-lb with a good wrench.

Works well for me.

We use talley rings and bases and locktite both . I think we go 22 to 24 ft inches on bases 18 20 on rings that is spec if I remember right for talley rings I can look it up if need be.

Blue on the bases only for me...lbs. as per LMD post #3.

Conetrol bases and rings with or without loctite. Take your pick. GJ
