Finished my season this morning. I had this guy at about a 100 yards strutting in a field with no way to get any closer. He was gobbling every time I called but just wouldn't commit to come any closer. Until four other big gobblers got fired up and started coming my way, full strut. I first saw them at about 400 yards on the opposite end of the field. They never left strut the whole way across the field. This fellar figured out he better come my way or the other dudes were going to steal his woman...either that or he was afraid he was going to get his butt kicked. He dropped out of strut and made a beeline right for me. 20 pounds, 10 inch beard 1 1/4" sharp spurs. I'm happy with this year. Two nice birds that are probably both 3 year old birds.
