Location
interior Alaska
change adopted by the Alaska Board of Game for regulatory year 2016-2017.
Youth hunt created for resident and nonresident in all
units open to sheep hunting by general season harvest
ticket, season Aug 1 - Aug 5. The bag limit counts
towards both the youth and the accompanying adult.

This means youth hunters get first crack at legal rams on
Aug 1-5, with the general season opening August 10-Sept 20.

Oh this outta get the outfitters all ruffled. Hopefully many resident plane owners fly in with their kids early to stir the pot!........that wasn't very nice of me.

Any Alaska residents want to adopt a husky bearded 12 year old from Montana? Seems mature for his age. Will support himself after sheep season....

I think there was 9+/- youth rams killed last year, including one giant B&C ram.

I can't wait for my kids to he old enough for this hunt.

I saw a picture of the giant one. Amazing! I do know another guy from Bozeman who lives there now who's daughter shot a great one. He has a plane and flew into a spot.

That pegs the cool as hell meter! Well done!

I was not involved.
I posted it because the photo protrays a once-in-lifetime hunt for
this youth. Very cool!

I do like how Alaska has caribou youth hunts in interior, as well as these ram
youth hunts starting Aug 1.
