Archery Mule Deer New Mexico Unit 52
My wife and I each drew a tag for archery mule deer in Unit 52. I'm not familiar with the area other than driving thru on 285, and I'd appreciate some pointers on where to scout. We're planning on going up Memorial Day to drive the roads and will probably work our way from the basin towards SA mountain just checking out terrain, camping spots, etc. Then we'll go back up in August for a bit to scout a few more days. Lots of info out there on elk in 52, but not much at all on muleys. I'd appreciate any tips anyone can offer. Thanks.
PS Attached is a pic of the gang that hangs out in our backyard - our county doesn't allow hunting...
