Salmon fillets with skin

Season with lemon pepper, fine chopped garlic, and salt.

Mix 1/3 cup of soy or worchestire sauce, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup water, 1/4 cup oil.

Let salmon marinade for a few hours.

Cook skin down first then flip to other side til done.

I grill my fillets (reds, kings) with skin side down, so I never have meat sticking to the grill.

When the fillets are done, I use a spatula between the flesh and the skin.

I like salmon patties even more than grilled salmon, so always grill more than we will eat that night,
with salmon patties the next night's dinner.

Right there with you Alaska! Grew up on salmon patties. Any recommendations on smoking them?

Made with smoked salmon, or made fresh and then smoked? I had never considered either... this sounds delicious either way. I have about 20lbs of salmon that needs smoked up. May try some patties. Good idea!

I make mine about 10 different ways, but my quick standby is Very Very Teriyaki Sauce. This stuff is amazing on steaks as well.

I've eaten a lot of salmon and tuna patties down in MS. However, I'm doubting mine was nowhere near as fresh seeing as the salmon and tuna was from a can.
